V. Randy White, Ph.D. - CEO
Dr. White is a seasoned executive with 35-years of senior level experience in the healthcare industry, including medical laboratories, medical diagnostics and medical devices. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, completed Post-Doctoral training in clinical chemistry and is qualified as a licensed laboratory director. He has held the position of CEO three times in his career and held EVP and Sr. V.P. positions and served on Boards of both private and public companies. He understands the healthcare markets, drivers for technology and product adoption and reimbursement. Dr. White began his career as a laboratory director for National Health Laboratories, and rose to Senior Vice President of Operations over an 18-year career. During that time the company grew from $20M in revenue to $850M. In 1985 he helped take the company public on the New York Stock Exchange and subsequently completed two secondary offerings. In 1996, the company was merged with another large laboratory chain to form LabCorp. Dr. White then joined a private equity buyout of American Medical Laboratories as Executive Vice President of Operations and in 2000 helped sell the company for $500M in an all cash transaction to Quest Diagnostics. In 2000 Dr. White accepted the role as CEO for Nanogen (NASDAQ:NGEN) and brought the vision to reshape the company from a genomic tools platform to a molecular diagnostic products company. In three years the company implemented the FDA’s Quality System Regulations, received Class-I approval for the medical device and brought seven medical diagnostic products to market. Then in 2004 Dr. White accepted the role as CEO for Xenomics, an early-stage technology company. During his tenure he completed a $9.1M financing, filed 10 new patents and created the product development and regulatory teams to develop the technology. In mid-2007 Dr. White joined Adnavance Technologies Inc. as the CEO. Dr. White understands the capital markets at all levels from VC financing to public offerings and has completed numerous M&A transactions. He has visionary perspective of the complex healthcare industry and understands the customers, the regulatory bodies, and reimbursement.
