Anthony P. Bihl III

Anthony P. Bihl III Mr. Bihl is an experienced executive with more than 25 years in leadership of global healthcare businesses, including a broad base of operational and executive positions in large and medium multinational healthcare firms. He was CEO of Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics in 2007, responsible for this new worldwide business unit, the combination of the former Bayer Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products Corporation. Prior to that Mr. Bihl served in senior leadership roles at Bayer Healthcare Diagnostics from 2000 – 2006, including Sr VP of Finance and Administration, and was President from 2004-2006, responsible for all aspects of this worldwide business Division. Mr. Bihl previously gained extensive operational experience though 20 years at E.I. DuPont Inc., concluding as a Plant Manager for medical instrument manufacturing. Mr. Bihl received a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.

Kenneth F. Buechler, Ph.D.

Kenneth F. Buechler, Ph.D. Kenneth F. Buechler, Ph.D., was most recently President, Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Biosite Incorporated. Dr. Buechler is a co-inventor of certain Biosite proprietary technologies, including the Triage Drugs of Abuse Panel and the Triage Meter Plus platform. From 1988 to 1994, Dr. Buechler was Biosite’s Director of Chemistry. Prior to forming Biosite, Dr. Buechler was a senior research scientist for the Diagnostics Research and Development Group at Hybritech Incorporated in San Diego. As a Senior Research Scientist, he was responsible for new product development and was the transfer project leader for ICON® QSR CK-MB, a cardiac marker assay. In addition, he was responsible for the design and synthesis of reagents for use in the first rapid, visual pregnancy test, the ICON® hCG test. Dr. Buechler received his doctorate in biochemistry and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Indiana University. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Biochemical Society, the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and the American Association of Clinical Chemists.

Donna Parr

Donna Parr Donna Parr is Senior Vice President, Venture Investments for JovInvestment Management Inc. (JIMI) and manager of the Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund, which manages $170 million in biotech investments. She has over 20 years of experience in merchant banking, venture capital, private debt, and corporate banking and has served on a number of boards in a variety of industries. Before joining JIMI, Donna was President of Crimson Capital, a private equity consultant with clients such as Canada Pension Plan, Paul Capital, Northwater Capital, and TD Capital. Between 1990 and 2002 she was with the Merchant Banking group of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Board (OMERS) involved in making private equity, venture capital, fund, and private debt investments, and headed the Direct Equity team from 1998. Donna also worked in mergers and acquisitions for Trivest Insurance Network (Trilon) and for Canadian Corporate Funding Limited, a Canadian merchant bank. Donna started her career with Continental Illinois Bank in Chicago and Toronto. Donna holds an MBA degree from York University and Masters and Honours degrees in International Relations from the University of Toronto. She is on the board of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Chair of the Board Development Committee, and is on the Research Committee. She also helped found AceTech Ontario, a technology CEO networking group, and Canadian Women in Private Equity.

Todd Farrell

 Todd Farrell Todd Farrell is Vice President of Investments at GrowthWorks Capital and manager of the Working Opportunity Fund, with a combined C$560 million in assets. Mr. Farrell joined GrowthWorks in 1998 after spending eight years developing new businesses and products based on innovative technologies. He also brings a significant background in commercial finance and marketing as well as experience as an economist. Mr. Farrell holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance from UBC and an MBA from Bath University in England.

Vince Lum - Chairman of the Board

Vince Lum - Chairman of the Board Vince Lum is Managing Partner & Founder of Asialife Venture Consulting, a financial advisory and company creation firm focused on medical devices and diagnostic value creation. He is also CEO and Chairman of Auricle Biomedical as well as Chairman of Adnavance Technologies Inc., Director Metaara Medical and Director and CFO of CardioDigital Inc. Previously, Vince was Vice President and Venture Partner at MDS Capital Corp, Vice President of the B.C. Medical Innovations Fund and Acting Managing Director at Royal Bank Capital Corporation. He has had over 18 years of venture capital and operating experience including 7 years focusing on Asia Pacific financing and technology transfer. Vince holds an M.Sc. in Immunology and an M.B.A. from the University of British Columbia.

V. Randy White, Ph.D. - CEO

V. Randy White, Ph.D. - CEO Dr. White is a seasoned executive with 35-years of senior level experience in the healthcare industry, including medical laboratories, medical diagnostics and medical devices. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, completed Post-Doctoral training in clinical chemistry and is qualified as a licensed laboratory director. He has held the position of CEO three times in his career and held EVP and Sr. V.P. positions and served on Boards of both private and public companies. He understands the healthcare markets, drivers for technology and product adoption and reimbursement. Dr. White began his career as a laboratory director for National Health Laboratories, and rose to Senior Vice President of Operations over an 18-year career. During that time the company grew from $20M in revenue to $850M. In 1985 he helped take the company public on the New York Stock Exchange and subsequently completed two secondary offerings. In 1996, the company was merged with another large laboratory chain to form LabCorp. Dr. White then joined a private equity buyout of American Medical Laboratories as Executive Vice President of Operations and in 2000 helped sell the company for $500M in an all cash transaction to Quest Diagnostics. In 2000 Dr. White accepted the role as CEO for Nanogen (NASDAQ:NGEN) and brought the vision to reshape the company from a genomic tools platform to a molecular diagnostic products company. In three years the company implemented the FDA’s Quality System Regulations, received Class-I approval for the medical device and brought seven medical diagnostic products to market. Then in 2004 Dr. White accepted the role as CEO for Xenomics, an early-stage technology company. During his tenure he completed a $9.1M financing, filed 10 new patents and created the product development and regulatory teams to develop the technology. In mid-2007 Dr. White joined Adnavance Technologies Inc. as the CEO. Dr. White understands the capital markets at all levels from VC financing to public offerings and has completed numerous M&A transactions. He has visionary perspective of the complex healthcare industry and understands the customers, the regulatory bodies, and reimbursement.
